Why is this news, SVBIED’s are always destroyed. Is it news because they didn’t destroy or kill anyone else?

In the near past, Truck Bimbs weren’t always destroyed, and a Russian SF got killed in Syria by one. An ofensive agaist ISIS had to be stopped due to Truck Bombs, etc, etc. Now it seems that the Irakies and Syrians have this tactic countered properly.
