Russia deployed next generation air defense systems in the Arctic over the past year

Russia has deployed next generation air defense systems in the Arctic over the past year a military source has revealed

The next generation air defense systems have been deployed to the Arctic over the past year. Two of the air defense systems have been deployed to the Novaya Zemlya archipelago as well as at the Yaktuian port in the Arctic ocean.

A source from the Russian General Staff of Armed Forces told the TASS news agency. Russia has built its presence in the Arctic over the past few years, the deployment areas where the S-400 has been deployed have been reinforced with Pantsir-S1 a short-range mobile air defense systems.

The source made it clear that there are more military instillation’s across the arctic armed with air-defense systems,missiles and artillery units, the instillation’s span “from the Cola Peninsula and Novaya Zemlya in the west to Andyr and the Mys Shmidta in the east.

Russian armed forces have been recently finalizing construction and renovation of 6 military bases. They have plans for the construction and renovation of 13 military airfields and the deployment of 10 radar instillation’s.
