نائبة الرئيس الفنزويلية ديلسي رودريغيز في 30 أغسطس حذرت الولايات المتحدة من الابتعاد عن سواحل فنزويلا.
تتزايد التوترات بين البلدين منذ أن أمرت إدارة الرئيس الأمريكي ترامب بنشر قوة بحرية كبيرة تتكون من سبع سفن حربية، وغواصة هجومية نووية، وحوالي 4500 عنصر خدمة، بما في ذلك 2200 جندي من مشاة البحرية، إلى أمريكا اللاتينية والكاريبي في مهمة مضادة للكارتيلات في وقت سابق من هذا الشهر.
كما ضاعفت الإدارة المكافأة على اعتقال الرئيس الفنزويلي نيكولاس مادورو إلى 50 مليون دولار بتهمة تهريب المخدرات.
وفي حديثها في ولاية كارابوبو، اتهمت رودريغيز الولايات المتحدة باتخاذ إجراءات عدائية بنشر قوة بحرية بالقرب من سواحل فنزويلا.
وجهت كلمات حادّة إلى إدارة ترامب، مطالبتهم بحل مشاكلهم بأنفسهم والابتعاد عن سواحل وأراضي فنزويلا.
ثم حذرت رودريغيز من أنه إذا حاولت الولايات المتحدة مهاجمة فنزويلا، ستصبح بلادهم «أعظم كابوس لهم».
ونفت أيضاً أن تكون الحكومة الفنزويلية تحولت إلى «دولة مخدّرات إرهابية»، ووصفت هذه الاتهامات الموجهة إلى «الشعب النبيل» لسيمون بوليفار وهوغو تشافيز بأنها «خدعة عظيمة وفجور أخلاقي». كما وصفت رودريغيز هذه الادعاءات بأنها من بين «أكبر الأكاذيب والافتراءات في التاريخ».
أفادت تقارير Axios الأخيرة بأن مستشاري ترامب لم يكونوا متأكدين تماماً مما إذا كان النشر البحري قرب فنزويلا هو عملية تهريب مخدرات تحمل نوايا تغيير النظام، أم أنها عملية انقلاب في كاراكاس تتخفّى كتنفيذ لمكافحة المخدرات.
تتعامل البلاد مع التصعيد بجدية كبيرة، فالجيش الفنزويلي، وهو مسلّح بشدة، قد أعلن بالفعل عن نشر واسع لطائرات بدون طيار إضافة إلى دوريات بحرية على طول الساحل الكاريبي للبلاد. كما قامت ميليشيا بوليفارية فنزويلا أيضاً بتعبئة الآلاف.
تستفيد الولايات المتحدة كثيراً من انقلاب في فنزويلا، التي تمتلك أكبر احتياطي نفطي في العالم. ومع ذلك، قد يؤدي التدخل العسكري المباشر إلى حرب مطوّلة، حيث يبدو أن كثيرين في البلد الذي يسكنه 28 مليوناً مستعدون للقتال.

tartus province: the syrian observatory for human rights has obtained several complaints from residents of kherbet al-maazah village in tartus countryside about practices by gunmen yesterday.
