ستتلقى أوكرانيا فقط عشرة صواريخ ERAM من نوع “الصواريخ الموجهة ذات المدى الطويل” المصنعة من قبل الولايات المتحدة، وهي مزيج من قنبلة جوية موجهة وصاروخ تكتيكي صغير الحجم تم تطويرها خصيصًا للبلاد، في أكتوبر، القناة الجوية Aviation Week ذكرت ذلك في 5 سبتمبر.
تم إطلاق برنامج ERAM من قبل قوات الطيران الأمريكية في أوائل عام 2024 بشكل خاص لمعالجة حاجة أوكرانيا إلى صواريخ جوية ذا دقة عالية ومدى طويل ومصنوعة بكميات كبيرة وبسعر منخفض. وتشترك أوكرانيا ودنمارك وهولندا مع الولايات المتحدة في المشروع.

بينما كان يُعتقد في البداية أن أوكرانيا ستحصل على جميع هذه الصواريخ بسرعة كبيرة، كشفت وثائق من قوات الطيران الأمريكية التي نشرتها القناة الجوية Aviation Week عن الحقيقة مختلفة.
وفقًا للوثائق، سيتم تسليم أول دفعة من 840 صاروخ ERAM، موزعة بين تصاميم منفصلة تم إنتاجها من قبل شركة CoAspire في فرجينيا وشركة Zone 5 Technologies في كاليفورنيا، بحلول نهاية أكتوبر 2026. سيتم تسليم فقط عشرة صواريخ في الشهر القادم.
سيصبح الصاروخ ERAM أطول نظام أسلحة يُقدم إلى أوكرانيا من قبل أي من حلفائها في الغرب. مدى الصاروخ كافٍ ليرمي أوكرانيا هدفه الرئيسي وهو روسيا، موسكو.
ومع ذلك، كشف تقرير من صحيفة وول ستريت جورنال في أغسطس أن أوكرانيا ستحتاج إلى موافقة الولايات المتحدة كل مرة ترغب فيها باستخدام هذا الصاروخ الجديد.
